With heavy hearts we inform you that V-Con Malaysia 2020, which was scheduled from the 1st to the 5th of April 2020 at the SPICE Arena in Penang, will not take place due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This decision was not made lightly. Your safety matters a lot to us and we wish that we did not have to take this path but after much deliberation with all parties concerned, we have come to the conclusion that this is the best solution.

We understand that you may have made bookings in preparation for V-Con and would like to do our best to make things easier for you. Please contact our Customer Care for assistance on this.

We apologise again for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. Unfortunately, these are circumstances beyond our control but we intend to make the next V-Con 2020 even more spectacular and hope to see you then!

V-Malaysia is back to kick off a brand new decade with a resonating theme for 2020 - Game Changer. We’re looking forward to catching up with everyone and meeting new faces at Penang’s SPICE Arena from the 1st to the 5th of April 2020!

Here are a couple of accommodations available for booking through QVI:

Hotel Equatorial Penang

The Hotel Equatorial Penang sits on top of a hill, 250m above sea level, providing guests with a birds-eye view of the surrounding greenery. It may seem like you’re in the middle of nowhere but worry not! One of Penang’s famous shopping malls is only 15 minutes away by car! 

Make use of the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service to selected locations or download one of the local e-hailing service apps such as GrabCar, CallMe Cab, or Maxim. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are many others to choose from. Or, get the hotel to arrange a taxi for you.

Complimentary shuttle service is also provided between the airport and the hotel. Just be sure to make a reservation in advance.

Distance to SPICE Arena: 2.2km by car (approximately 10 minutes)

Sunway Hotel Georgetown

Located amidst the vibrancy of Georgetown’s city life and charming heritage is Sunway Hotel Georgetown. Discover all that Penang’s capital city has to offer on foot or by car.

Note: Additional charges apply to Sunway Hotel Georgetown’s airport shuttle service. 

Distance to SPICE Arena: 14 - 16km by car (approximately 20-35 minutes)

How to make a reservation?

Submit  a booking request for the above hotels by emailing help@myqvi.com with your IR ID and the number of travellers. Or, call our Customer Care at +603 7949 8288. Get your booking requests in soon though as rooms are limited!

Terms & Conditions

• All bookings include daily breakfast for two (2) Adults.
• Booking requests are subject to availability.
• Reservations are for 6 Nights (Check-in 31st March 2020 & check-out 6th April 2020) against 7 Nights entitlement.
• The Usage fee is applicable for Club members.
• Should there be any guests travelling, a guest fee of USD 50 will be applicable.
• None of our current promotions are valid for VCON bookings.
• Once Confirmed, cancellations & amendments are strictly not allowed.
• Security deposit of MYR 500 per room is required upon check in
• Hotel will refuse check in if Miscellaneous Refundable Deposit is not paid.

Gentle reminder: 
A tourist tax of MYR 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in.

Tip: Don’t forget your plug point adaptors! Malaysia’s electrical supply is 240V with rectangular pin plug points.
