During the warmer months, the lake is alive with activity and guests can immerse themselves in what feels like every water sport invented, from canoeing, swimming, adrenaline-packed jet boat rides, and if you prefer, relaxing lake cruises. And, if you're keen to go extreme, there's bungee jumping and skydiving too.

For those who prefer solid ground beneath their feet, there are superb walking and mountain bike trails throughout the area. Or, if you prefer, you can spend a day experiencing inner peace at the nearby spa and another touring the local wineries. Even if you don't have a palate for that sort of thing, the drive alone is worth it.Of course, this is a resort for all seasons, and in winter, skiers will find true bliss on the slopes of Coronet Peak, Cardrona and Treble Cone. But, whatever the season, a tour to Milford Sound is a must - it is breathtaking!
