Land of Canaan Vacation Resort is located in Davis, West Virginia. High altitude and a cool, moist climate have created a unique wetland and northern forest treasure in Canaan Valley.

The Land of Canaan Resort provides its guests with a swimming pool, tennis and it's close to restaurants and shops in Davis. Two-bedoom, two-bath suites accommodate six with large, fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining/living room (with plenty of glass, so that you may enjoy the mountain views). Unit amenities include: dishwasher, washer and dryer, gas fireplaces, CATV, microwave, and telephone (with limited access). Summer visitors can sun and swim in the resort's heated outdoor pool or relax in the whirlpool (open Memorial Day to Labor Day). Golfers will enjoy the challenge of the 18-hole course at Canaan Valley State Park. In winter, the resort is within minutes of two ski areas--Canaan Valley and Timberline, where lessons are available.

Nearby, Blackwater Falls State Park is named for the falls of the Blackwater River whose amber-colored waters plunge five stories then twist and tumble through an eight-mile long gorge. The "black" water is a result of tannic acid from fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. The falls are one of the most photographed sites in West Virginia. The Valley supports many unusual and rare plants and animals. With the Allegheny Mountains serving as your backdrop, nature lovers can enjoy over 200 species of birds, 600 types of wildflowers, and a forest full of wildlife, including deer.
