Jean Lafitte House

Jean Lafitte, the notorious pirate and patriot of the Caribbean, is the namesake of this New Orleans locale.

The building itself consists of two brick buildings, built in 1831 that have been completely restored with living areas that are elegantly furnished, and situated in the residential area of the French Quarter. Our Rooms are built to be a "Home Away from Home," featuring kitchenettes in every room, mini-fridge, microwave and burners for cooking. Every bathroom is coated in marble, with ample shelf space for all those little things you need on the road. Finally, the historic building with the soft warm colors make our rooms a wonderful place to unwind after a tour on the Bayou, a ride on the famous streetcar, or even a night out on Bourbon Street. With original construction dating back to 1809, the front building is the building Jean Lafitte himself bought. Featuring high ceilings in every room, with shared balcony access featuring a street view on the upper floors. The living rooms are spacious, every room has a kitchenette with stovetop and microwave, a marble bath, pedestal sink and flat-screen TV. In the back building, every room has a courtyard and pool view.

Near the edge of the French Quarter, Hotel Jean Lafitte House sits on Esplanade Avenue between Chartres and Royal Streets. A block down is Bourbon, and the French Market and Flea Market are just one block in the other direction.

Jean Lafitte House provides a quiet spot to swim, soak in the whirlpool, and relax before exploring the streets of the French Quarter. Only a few blocks away you will find shops, Jackson Square, markets and restaurants awaiting you.
