Away from the manicured greens of the magnificent golf courses, the sparkling blue bays tempt you with a profusion of water sports, from sailing to scuba diving, and fishing to sea kayaking. However, if you'd rather stay on dry land, then you won't be disappointed either, as there are plenty of breathtaking coastal trails that wind their way through national parks and along peaceful country lanes.
The local wineries offer tastings at 50 cellar doors, so sampling all those superb reds and whites could easily flow into lunch or dinner on a day taking in the green surrounds.
