All the self-contained apartments at The Breakers enjoy stunning ocean views that are simply amazing to wake up to. Set amid rolling lawns and exquisite landscaped gardens, it is also a luxurious and tranquil base from which to explore the tropical marshland with its many delightful rustic bridges and abundant bird and wildlife. One minute you're enjoying the sheer delight of lazing by the resort's fabulous pool enjoying the incredible service and the next you're digging your toes into the golden sands of the beach. Blue Restaurant, onsite at the Resort, is one of the recommended restaurants in Durban and offers a mouth-watering menu of fusion cuisine, while the Islander, with its incredible panoramic views is definitely the place to have breakfast. The Lounge is perfect for sitting back and relaxing in air-conditioned comfort with a good book, an espresso and a slice of guilty pleasure from the coffee bar. There's also a fully equipped gym if the guilt starts to outweigh the pleasure!

The scuba diving in the area is superb, but if that's not your thing, then grab a bike and explore - the village of Umhlanga Rocks is only 2kms away. Alternatively, you can take to the surface of the water and go for a cruise.
